A Small Journey by cult group

"CTCS " Cult The Cultural Society  is a NON  PROFIT ORGANIZATION working on 'Environmental' & 'Social' issues and its is run by students.   

The mantra behind this NGO is Search the problems of the society, highlight them through cultural activity by the students  and solve    them with the help of related authority as well as society welfare and cultural upgradation of latent talent......  empower the youth of today to educate,motivate & enact the higher generations of society. 

CTCS FAMILY

From 2006 onward we have been conducting an yearly program called Kalpana in which we engage children in the pleasure and power of reading and writing.

MANTHAN-  Manthan is an effort to give a new direction to students’ thoughts, increase their creativity and thinking power and to make them realize what they can achieve through their creativity and thinking power. Many think that being a book work and scoring good marks in examinations is everything , but being  creative and involving in extracurricular activities  bring them real success.

The main objective of Manthan is to give students an opportunity to become creative and find the hidden talents within them which may give them a new direction to their career and make their own identity by becoming different from others.

In 6^th July 2008 we organized an Annual Cultural Activity in Lucknow in which more than 1000 students participated in various activities like Dancing, Singing, Fashion Show, JAM (Just A Minute), Drawing, G.K. Quiz. 

The Chief Guest in that event was Mr. Dinesh Sharma, The Mayer of Lucknow. 

The sponsors of that event were Maples (International Institute of Air Hosting Training), Image Art Creations, Kalakriti Photographics, Azad Book Depot and VLCC.

In August 2009 we continued this event in Mau(U.P) which was also a grand success.

Eco Manthan  started in 29^th November 2009   @ Nirmala Higher Secondary School,Aluva,Cochin with the help of SCMS COCHIN ,PGDM BATCH 17 students and  faculty members.  which was an environment awareness program.

we want to give special thanks to SISTER GEETA,Nirmala Higher Secondary School principal for her co-operation.

This year we have conducted National Campaigns on “Tree as a gift to support sustainability” 
in Lucknow on 26^thand  (http://cultngo.blogspot.com/2010/02/second-step-on-29-january-lucknw-eco.html) 29^th  January, 
And now we are going to organize it in Mau(U.P) on 6^th February, 14^th February in Cochin. Through this campaign we are trying to promote tree as a gift on every occasion like Birthday, Valentine day, Christmas etc.

The second step of this event was conducted at Shapur Chinhat Govt. School, Lucknow in which we organized a class regarding the environmental issues. Mr. Anupam Daswana educated the school students on how we can protect our environment. He conducted a debate on students view and a painting competition. This event was a grand success with the help of Mr. Anoop Verma, Head of Event Coordinator, Lucknow and Mr. Atul Shahi, Promoter of CULT Group. The winner of the painting competition were awarded with prizes and certificates.

Eco-Manthan 2010  invites all the Schools  to participate in this event. The theme for Eco-Manthan 2010 

" Tree as a gift to support sustainability".

The  event for Eco-Manthan 2010 are given below-

1.      Drawing competition (“Rang Aur Hum”).
2.      Waste management (“Something from Nothing”
3.      Street play name (“Learn with Play”).
4.      JAM name (‘Just a minute”.)
5.      Singing Competition.

 ”HELPING HANDS” a program to support the elder residents of “Home for Destitute ” an oldage home.


Life is a never ending race and everyone in this world is so busy with achieving their dreams and goals. These dreams give way to name, fame and money .In the quest of achieving these dreams some of us forget our past, parents and responsibilities. Parents are our guarding angels who burn their midnight oil to make our lives brighter. But now when they need a helping hand or a shoulder to support its all darkness they find. So let’s join our hand together to bring a ray of hope and happiness into their life.


I am to happy announce that the second part of Helping Hands was successfully completed in which medicines were donated to the old age home for 30 days requirement.
For this success i would like to give thanks to my younger brother Mr Rajiv  a.
 "Aparna Sivadas " our HR classmate, without her support this could not be successful as she provided all medicines.

I also would like to thanks to Anu Antony ma'am who came with us and spend some valuable time with them. and she also provided financial help.

and i also would like to thanks our friends AMIT,( HR) Lakhmi,(retail) , Aiswarya (HR) Ratheesh(system) who provided us Financial help and Arathi for "HELPING HANDS ".
